About me - Hannah Young
Having spent almost 20 working years in the City as a lawyer, I was inspired by the development of my three children and my own early childhood experiences to later qualify as a Play Therapist.
Now living in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, I provide therapeutic play services both in educational settings and as part of a private independent clinical practice.
My approach is tailored to each unique child, young person, family, practitioner or organisation and I am committed to supporting individual needs through a variety of therapeutic approaches.
-
One of the most important messages we can pass on to our children is self-acceptance. People will show up for us when we show up for ourselves.
-

I am listed as a member of the Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I am also a Registered Member of BACP, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

-
An ethical practitioner
I am committed to following child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures and comply with The Ethical Framework for Play, Creative Arts and Filial Play
My vision
Through every aspect of my practice, I ensure the child’s voice and the family’s story are heard. I am committed to supporting every child on their own unique journey, enabling and empowering them through self-expression so that each child may gain a more complete understanding of themselves.
