• PLAY THERAPY

Through play, a child is able to access thoughts and feelings they would otherwise be unable to express verbally. Facilitated by a Play Therapist, a child can be supported in exploring their sense of self, including how their early experiences and attachment bonds have influenced how they think and behave, as well as how they respond and react both socially and environmentally.

Through the safety of the relationship with a Play Therapist, a child can use toys and creative arts materials metaphorically, accessing the unconscious, breaking down barriers and unlocking feelings and behaviours which enable a child to express themselves.

  • CHILD PARENT RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

Empowering parents and carers through a 10-week programme to be agents of change in the lives of the children they support and care for.

In a supportive group environment, parents and carers learn skills to respond more effectively to their children's emotional and behavioural challenges.

The goal of CPRT is to strengthen the quality of the parent-child attachment bond by helping parents attune to and respond to their child's underlying needs.
